THE ANGELIC VANGUARD: WAR OF THE UMBRA NEXUS

CHAPTER ONE — THE SUMMONING OF THE SON OF THE LEGENDARY PARKER BOY

The Hall of Radiance glowed like a living sun.

Twelve celestial generals stood in a perfect circle, their armor humming with ancient power. At the center of the chamber stood Aman, wings folded, posture steady, eyes sharp. Behind him, the Angelic Vanguard waited — Heaven’s elite warriors, sworn to follow him into any darkness.

General Seraphon raised his staff.

“Commander… Son of the Legendary Parker Boy… step forward.”

Aman obeyed.

General Lysandra projected a holographic star map — a swirling cluster of galaxies, one region pulsing red like an infected wound.

“This is the Umbra Nexus,” she said. “A universe overrun by demonic forces. Entire civilizations have fallen.”

Seraphon pointed to a single planet, glowing faintly.

“Erebos‑9. The last world still resisting. Its people are dying. Its skies are blackened. Its cities are ash.”

Aman’s wings twitched.

“What do you need from us?”

Lysandra’s voice hardened.

“You will travel there. Establish a base. Protect the survivors. Push back the demons.”

Seraphon stepped closer.

“And be warned… intelligence confirms the presence of a warlord. A being of ancient darkness.”

The hologram shifted.

A tall figure appeared — pale skin, crimson eyes, cloak of living shadow.

Aman’s jaw tightened.

“Dracula.”

The generals bowed their heads.

“Go, Son of the Legendary Parker Boy,” Seraphon said. “The Nexus needs you.”

Aman turned to his squad.

“Vanguard… we move.”

CHAPTER TWO — DESCENT INTO A DYING GALAXY

The Star‑Sanctum tore through the cosmos, wings of celestial metal cutting through the void. Aman stood at the helm, gripping the coordinate core.

Kael, the scout, approached.

“Son of the Legendary Parker Boy… we’re nearing the Umbra Nexus.”

Aman nodded. “Prepare for descent.”

The wormhole opened — a swirling vortex of fractured starlight — and the ship plunged through.

When they emerged, the sight stole their breath.

Planets cracked open like eggshells. Moons shattered. Space itself seemed bruised, bleeding shadow.

Serai whispered, “Aman… what happened here?”

Aman didn’t answer. He couldn’t.

The Star‑Sanctum descended toward Erebos‑9.

CHAPTER THREE — THE SANCTUARY OUTPOST

Erebos‑9 was a graveyard.

Ruined skyscrapers leaned like broken bones. Fires burned endlessly. The sky was a permanent twilight, thick with ash.

Aman landed first, wings flaring with Heavenlight.

“This is where we build,” he said.

The Vanguard moved instantly:

• Thorne raised stone walls from the earth

• Serai purified the air

• Kael mapped the ruins

• Aman infused the ground with celestial energy

Within hours, a fortress stood — the Sanctuary Outpost.

Survivors emerged from the shadows — starving, trembling, eyes full of fear.

Aman knelt.

“You’re safe now. We’re here to help.”

A woman whispered, “Are you… truly the Son of the Legendary Parker Boy?”

Aman nodded.

“Yes. And I won’t let this world fall.”

Hope flickered in their eyes.

CHAPTER FOUR — THE NIGHTMARE GENERALS

The demons came at night.

Shadow‑spawn. Bone serpents. Winged horrors. The Vanguard fought them back, night after night, but the attacks grew stronger.

Then one night… everything changed.

The temperature dropped.

The fog thickened.

The ground trembled.

Kael whispered, “Son of the Legendary Parker Boy… something’s coming.”

Six silhouettes emerged from the darkness.

Frankenstein’s Monster

Rebuilt with demonic metal, veins glowing molten red.

The Wolfman

Eyes burning with void‑fire.

Jason Voorhees

Silent, mask cracked, machete forged from hellsteel.

Freddy Krueger

Laughing, glove sparking with nightmare energy.

Michael Myers

Emotionless, unstoppable, aura colder than death.

And behind them…

A swirl of black mist.

A voice like velvet dipped in poison.

“Commander… Son of the Legendary Parker Boy… welcome to my domain.”

Dracula materialized, eyes glowing crimson.

Aman stepped forward, wings blazing.

“This ends with you.”

Dracula smiled.

“Oh no, Heavenborn.

This is only the beginning.”
